I have always been drawn to blurry or out of focus images. I started working on painting pieces with the foreground in focus and the background out of focus and it progressed into the entire painting being out of focus. I wanted to paint a reflective surface of the street or sidewalk in the rain. The piece evolved into having a deeper meaning. The sheer tyranny of will it sometimes takes to walk away from someone in your life. To let whatever the brought out in you reflect on them and walk away from it all to better yourself.
